Like last year, I figured that I can't live in the Netherlands without making a trip to Keukenhof Gardens, especially since it's their 60 year anniversary. This year the theme was New York (ex New Amsterdam) to mark the 400th anniversary of its establishment by the Dutch. I think the Dutch are still a bit miffed that the English stole the city from them.
Last year I posted pics, but the scenery there is just so eye dazzling and mind boggling that I thought that this year's trip deserved to be posted as well! They plant about 7 million bulbs there every year on 70 acres and the park attracts nearly 1 million visitors during the 2 months it's open. I spent 4 hours walking through paradise, and I don't even think I saw it all!
Here is a very small sampling. Enjoy!
