Survivors After All
I truly didn't expect any action from my bananas and plaintains after they were ravaged by our frequent lower than average cold spells. They were about ready to get yanked from the ground when I noticed some pups emerging at the base of the dried up mature plants. I started with 4 plants and now I have 7. One plant hasn't produced any pups yet and is still struggling to survive from the mature growth. Considering their huge setback it's doubtful they'll recover enough to produce fruit this year. They were only planted last summer.
