I just potted mine up two days ago hoping when it blooms I can move it from the g/h to my unheated sunroom so I don't "enjoy" the fragrance in the g/h

It is a gorgeous plant even when out of bloom - it spends the summer on the deck with us. The amazing part is one day it is fine and the next day it is flopped over and ready for storage. Strange but interesting.

There are many Amorphophallus species and many are hardy in zone 7 and even colder. A titanum is one of the more finicky ones and doesn't flower until the bulb gets huge. There are tiny ones like A obscurus (3"tall), A bulbifer which produces bulbils on the leaves which can be grown into new plants and many also don't smell as bad as titanum. A konjac is a good one that is very hardy even in Zone 5 with some protection.
