Thanks for the comments. I also have Anthurium clarinervum, and I had A. scandens, which I killed some how. I aslo have two hybrids, the kind they sell in supermarkets growing well. I have one potted in orchid mix, and another one is growing in the gravel next to a water feature in my big vivarium. Let me say its happy happy happy!!!! I got it when it was dieing and about to get tossed, and now it has 9 leaves, and two of them are a good 5 inches wide! Its has the red roots when they are emerging, bright red. I hope it flowers.
