Spring 2009 is here... :)
I know some folks are still dealing with snow & Co... even here in Switzerland, we have snow in most places... However, Basel region has a privileged wheatehr, with mild winters and early spring...
Last sunday, I went to one of the Botanicals Gardens for a walk, and took the camera with me... I must admit I was not expecting to see so many flowers...
here some pics for you:

What beautiful pictures! I love those little early spring bulbs. It doesn't get cold enough here during the winter for them to bloom well though. But back home in Wyoming, it wasn't uncommon to have crocus pop through the last of the snow and bloom.

Nice pics Ramon!! I've seen many of those before, but do you know what the white one are in the pic after the yellow flowers? The blooms look like little bells!
Spring is taking its time here (it's so cold right now) but the snowdrops and crocuses are all out. I think this weekend I'll go to the Wageningen Botanical Garden and see if anything is blooming there!

Camille, those are "Märzglöckchen" (March Bells): Leucojum vernum they are lovely, and normally bloom after the "Schneeglöckchen" (Snow Bells): Galanthus nivalis

Kind of chilly here, too.
It will be much easier to share your enthusiasm once is at least in the 50's. Thankfully, it is just around the corner.
