I think I just got sniped

Yea, I tend to snipe auctions as well, if it's something I really want. People will do test bids, to see what your limit is, then if they still want it, they'll try again at the end of the auction. If I'm first bidder, I'll just put the minimum, which then keeps the price from being driven up prematurely. It's all strategy, most of the time I get what I'm bidding on, unless the item goes for more than what I really want to pay. I've really cut back though, shipping is the big reason. The price has to be reasonable including shipping.

Can I tell you, it's my favourite past time. I don't start bidding with 5 minutes to go. I bid with 30 seconds to go and I win regularly by doing so.

I suspect maybe it's possible that the plant owners do snipe their own plants to push the price up but that would be a rare thing (and rather stupid if they want to sell it). I love sniping, it makes me feel very evil though.

lol, I was looking at orchids on ebay a few days ago and I saw this guy same guy bidding... I was like man this guy must be building one hell of a green house!
