Mom won ribbons at Phila Flower Show
I'm happy to report my Mom won 2 Honorable Mentions with her begonias at the Philadelphia Flower Show, including the only Honorable in the Venerable class (owed plant for 10+ years). She is over the moon, and beat out some stiff competition and big names in the Venerable class.
The definition of the Venerable class is exceptional plant 10 - 20 years old, to be judged against 'perfection' for their species/culture. Only 1 entry per exhibitor.
As she says, there's no beginners luck in that class.
Yeah Mom!
Next year I'm going to do the show with her.
