Default So what do you do?

I'm curious about what everyone here does for a living. Myself, i own my own home cleaning business. I work on my own as I am a perfectionist when it comes to my job....used to have a partner but she didn't want to work so I got rid of her and contunued on my own. It's not a glamorous job but has good hours and great pay and I am my own boss. The only trouble is getting up the energy to clean my own house at the end of the day.

Hubby is a Manufacturing Manager and works for a Vinyl Siding production company and our son works the hot deli in a local grocery store.

I'm a housewife, although I did spend most of my life doing secretarial/office manager work. Due to big problems with chronic pain (too long of a story for here), I'm considered disabled and cannot work. I miss it but I've adjusted well to doing not-too-much of anything

I retired from IT work with the US Forest Service two years ago (deskside PC hardware trouble resolution.) I am a professional photographer now and work very hard at researching plants, especially orchids. My specialty is editorial photography. My wife is retired and I have two offspring that work hard keeping our SS checks coming in My son drives for Fed Ex and my daughter works Medical Records at a local clinic.

I teach Culinary Arts and related theory to young (and older) minds at NAIT. Been in the food industry forever. My s/o is an EA at an Engineering firm and licensed massage therapist. Offspring #1 plays for a living and offspring #2 eats, sleeps and poops!

I'm a laboratory Technician for a local University. I maintian, prepare, and manage biology teaching labs. SOmetimes they even let me teach for a semester. Im also a student of biology, ecology. Am torn between studying botany or herpetology. Ahhh. Marty, we don't like out IT workers here. They are lazy. WOuld you mind coming down here and showing them how to work?
And all this time I thought you were the Mist King, and that was enough.

O jeese, I better get back to work

Tin, I used to work in a lab too. I actually graduated with a biology degree and went into research at Indiana University's School of Medicine, and specifically in a Leukemia lab. I worked with mice all day long, and after a while, it lost it's luster. I do love research, just not what I was doing. Currently, after a drastic career change, I work as a Sales Finance Analyst for a liquor and wine distributor here in Indianapolis. There are days that I wish I was back in the lab working in biology, etc, but then I go home and play with my orchids, and I'm over that itch!

I surgerize people. It's fun, but doesn't leave much time for the wife, the kittens, or the plants.

I am the other half of HeronRidge Farms (known as the orchid shop). I do the marketing and sales side of things. Before that I was a CG artist working on everything from in game cinematics to commercials. I still do some CG work and marketing here and there but I love my new job of growing and working with orchids all day. My better half is about to launch a new company (a boutique lingerie shop); we are both love working for our selves.
