Pretty peach blossom.
We had a white one of it in our yard while i was a child.

The cherry tree I showed is a variety of Prnus campanulata. P. campanulata is one of the native cherry trees in Taiwan and does well in our lowlands.

It's look redder than the peach blossom, we have the variety of Prunus persica in northern Vietnam. However, in southern Vietnam where I came from, we have a traditional yellow flower than also flower in spring and thrive in warmer climate, that's Ochna integerrima and many other species in the Ochna genus.

and the "Mickey Mouse plant" ---you can see why they call them that. Yellow ochna flower with unusual red seedpods and black seeds

Becky

Forcing branches is easy. There is a specific time to forcing each type of tree or shrub for your region which you can find out by trial and error.

For me in Phila. Pa. Jasminum nudiflorum, (February jasmine) and Lonicera fragrantissima (the shrub form of honeysuckle) were easy to force by the end of December, and Quince in January. All are very easy to grow.
