Default Aloes

For those of you who are interested in succulents, here are pictures of a couple of my larger (3-4 feet tall) Aloes, Aloe ferox and A. africanus. They are cold-hardy enough for Tucson winters (most aloes aren’t). Usually several days each year of temps in the high 20’s, occasionally down into the high teens . . . (I apologize to all of you in the north and northeast . . . but I'm from Chicago, so I feel your pain).

Usually they bloom at the same time, and having both the red and the yellow blooms is very nice. For some reason, the africanus is running late this year.
