Default Ice Age Update...more pictures

We've got power!! Yippee! The ice has melted for the most part and now we have pure mud. Still, I feel very fortunate since there are thousands of people and homes still in the dark.

Here are a few more pictures. Mother nature can really create beautiful and errie scenes.

I'm happy to hear you have power again!

Your photos are gorgeous, as Dave said...they should be framed

Amazing landscape with all that ice and snow. Yes, Mother Nature can make beautiful things but can be powerful and damaging too. Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures!

How are your orchids, did they survive the cold well? How did you provide enought warmth for them?

Great pics, I love the second one! It looks like a painting almost.
The world is so beautiful when it is covered in ice and snow, I love going for long walks and taking photos when it's like that. It's just too bad that such beauty is can be destructive and deadly as well.

My orchids were in the greenhouse. I couldn't get the doors open but I could tell with the remote they were snug and warm. I have gas heat in there, thank goodness!!

Thank you all for the compliments on the pictures.

We stayed warm enough with a gas fireplace. I have a Coleman camp stove for just such occasions and we have 'city' water, so we did well.

I actually enjoyed it. Just put a pot on the stove and clean up after yourself and then there was plenty of time to kick back and read and snooze. No hustle, no bustle!

Those are beautiful pictures. I especially like the last one. Dave is right, they're frame worthy.
