Default Ice Storm in Arkansas

I took some pictures of the ice storm we had here and I know in other states too. We've been without power since Monday 01/26/09 and it's not looking like we'll get any for a while. We do have a generator that helps some.

The date on my camera is wrong. ( I need to reset that) I'll add more pictures in a few days.

My greenhouse has heat but no power to run fans, humidifier ect. It was 95 in there yesterday!

I hope all of those affected by this winter storm are faring okay. Keep warm and be safe.

Holy S*%# that's amazing. God, I wish you well. I think I'd rather deal with the threats of hurricanes. Good Luck and I'll be praying for you guys.

We have the same thing here. My yard looks like a war zone. I don't think I have a tree that hasn't lost major branches and some trees are so broken they will have to be cut down.

Yesterday was spooky and it took me all day to figure out why. Everything I could see from my backyard was like a black and white photo. There were no colors visible.

Sorry you lost power Debs, I went through that in '03 and it isn't fun. So far my power has stayed on but I expect to lose my cable before it is over. I ventured into town today and the electrical lines are fairly open from the damage in '03 but the cable line is running totally through trees.

Tomorrow when it starts melting, lots of broken branches still in the trees will start falling.

Brooke

Wow Deb. I can hardly remember this kind of weather anymore. These pics are hauntingly beautiful.

Stay safe, keep warm and hope the power comes on soooooooooon! And just think....in 6 months, you'll be in summer gear with the air conditioners running, sweating your tootsies off.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!

Those pictures are scarey. I hope you get your power back soon. The last time our power was off for several days, because of a storm, I lost everything in my freezer. Those are just little things to add to the misery.

I hope the power outage will not be too long. Keep us informed.

Marilyn
