Warmer weather is on the way!!! Supposed to be in the 60's by Friday. We will see. It should be warmer, though. That is all good news.

It's always good for you when theres warmer weather coming up...... schools have all closed here for their summer break...... for 2 1/2 months!!

PLUS it's gonna get stinking hot soon.....Well into the hundreds of degrees.

The only good thing about this storm is that we don't have to do the monday morning rushing around getting 3 kids ready for and to school. I'm going to light a fire in the fireplace and relax.

Well well well, today it is about 19F degrees, and we have another Nor'easter hitting. It started snowing during the night and it's coming down sideways and very heavy right now. Everything in this State has been cancelled, it seems. This storm is hitting New England plus! It is a wide spread storm. My son was to fly to Michigan today and flights have been cancelled over quite an area of States. I'm very fortunate to still have power. This is such a heavy snow, that keeping power by this afternoon will be nothing short of a miracle. Thank goodness for wood stoves and kerosene lanterns. Then there's burning fragrant candles that give us that nice feel to an otherwise yucky situation.
I'm telling ya, having my beautiful orchids to look at during days like this is just a gift from heaven.

Although we only had 9 inches in Philadelphia it really put a damper on the Flower Show attendance. My memory is clear since I always had to protect the orchids I bought, almost every year this time during the PHS flower show we had a brief snow storm or very cold weather.

Orchids look wonderful against the snow. Please post pictures. We need them now.

Here are mine that have bloomed all Winter for years.
