yeah, boys are funny like that....

I personally was not a big fan of veggies until I tried it, it sounds weird, but there are major improvements in your skin and energy levels

Oh NO! I sound like an infomercial

Default Actually

I do not eat bread for lunches. I use wraps. The whole wheat type or I go to the health food store and buy Ezekiel Wraps which are made with sprouted grain. 150 calories, 24g carbohydrates, 6g protein. Remember, all carbohydrates are not created equal. These carbohydrates break down at a slower rate which helps to keep blood sugar in check, which is important for me. I have not eaten bread in quite some time unless it was whole wheat or, preferably whole grain.

I am making the switch to whole grain breads. I'll have to check out Ezekiel Wraps. But I love eating my eggs on a pieces of toast...so that is why I am making the switch to whole grain. Thanks for the tip Gregg!

Default You are welcome

It is a learning process for me too. I have discovered these things along with my wife and by myself. They are just plain better for you. Make sure that when you get a bread, that it is whole grain by looking at contents, because all they have to say is Made With Whole Grains and if they put just a little bit in, they're covered.

Default It is

The order in which they are listed on the package. If there are things that are listed on the package that are things other than whole grains listed first, and whole grains are toward the bottom of the list, they were probably an afterthought. You just have to be careful of deceptive advertisement. Isn't it terrible that we can be deceived by companies that are supposed to have our best interests at heart? You would think that they would want us to stick around for awhile and keep buying their products.

Default Wow

There must be a mistake! Got on the scale this morning--193.6. Will have to see what it says tomorrow morning. I have to take vitals every morning, so this number can fluctuate quite a bit. Hoping it stays close tomorrow. Even if it is about the same, I still have quite a way to go. Had a very good workout yesterday, plus time on the treadmill and recumbent bike.

Default Going for a

little four mile run this morning. Getting a little farther each time. If I can maintain a 6mph speed, it takes about 40 minutes.

Default I have intensified all three

Of my workouts. All have a minimum of 24 sets in them. The other thing that has intensified them is that I am taking less time between each exercise. Remember, my sessions are only 45 minutes. Almost all of this is circuit work. In today's workout, I am going to try to do 27 sets. I have gone back to using dumbbells instead of using the Smith machine because I wanted to strengthen my stabilizing muscles. Today, it is all about lifting as close to my own weight as possible. There are a few exercises where I am using weights, but mostly I am using my weight.

I'm cheering for you. For any of us losing a couple pounds is difficult but for you it's much more difficult. Congrats on losing a couple more pounds.

I think kudos should also go to your wife. I'm sure her cooking regime has changed a LOT because of your diet. Give her a hug and say 'THANK YOU' and 'I LOVE YOU'.
