Maybe I should just lock my door, and not answer the phone.
That put an end to my repotting for a few hours. My head hurts, time for a nap.

Marilyn, I am so sorry to hear that! Accidents like that happen to everyone, no matter what the age. My mother is really good at collecting New Year's mishaps, and she's only 52. Three years ago she sliced her finger open, severing all the nerves, on New Year's day trying unstick two tealit candles stuck together. Two years ago on January 2nd she took a mistep on the curb and broke her foot. Last year on Jan 3rd she collapsed unconscious and ended up in the hospital, 3rd year running. This year, nothing yet, but the new year is only 18 hours old... But think of it this way, maybe that's all the bad luck you will have for 2009!
To everyone on OB!! May it bring you happiness, prospersity and many new orchids and orchid growing success!
Time for me to take a nap, I had way too much foie gras on toast and bubbly last night...

Sue, thank you for sharing with us! I wish you all a very I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has answered my questions. To Sue who made it possible for me to get on the Orchid Board to post those questions, and helping me get those pictures posted!!! You are all such wonderful people and I'm glad that I stumbled upon this forum, when I went looking for information on my newly acquired Phal. (which promptly got crown rot, but has a new root growing!!) To all of the enablers (that means Matt,Gin, Bethany and Brian!!), thank you for getting me to be interested in different alliances (just got my Paph in yesterday!!) Thank you for the advice and votes of confidence in the chat, Michael, Suzie, and adorable Matt, again!! I have a GREAT time on the forum and am learning everyday about growing my orchids the best that I can. Let's hope for lots and lots of blooms in 2009!! If I get ANY of my orchids to bloom in 2009 there will be so many !!!
P.S. Marilyn, I hope that you're okay!!!! I would answer the phone, though, if you don't answer the phone or open the door, they may break it down to make sure you're okay. Just answer the phone and say "I'm doing fine, just pitteling around the house, enjoying my day. Thank your for calling"

Marilyn, I'm so sorry to hear that your repotting was so rudely interrupted! I hope that you heal quickly!! Tell your kids that accidents happen to everyone, it no need to over react. Take it easy for the rest of the day!
To everyone, Happy New Year!! And may your 2009 be filled with blooms and that special kind of peace and happiness that comes only from orchid growing!
