Default Thought for the day.

If you want to be happy for a day, get drunk.

If you want to be happy for a week, kill a pig.

If you want to be happy for a month, get married.

If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, be a gardener.

Chinese Proverb

I hope that 2009 is another wonderful year in a lifetime of happiness for all!

I would never kill a pig, I'd rather drink beer, now that would keep me happy
I couldn't agree with you more on the last one!

If i got drunk, i'd be more worried about the next day.

I'd have to find the pig first.

It's been three years..... We STILL haven't had an argument.

If you want to be broke for the rest of your life, be a gardener

Three years and no argument rogerman! You two deserve an award!!

I'd go for the beer (dark please)... or a nice glass of red wine.

But yes, I'm all about the gardening. It serves many purposes: Self reflections/meditation type time, exercise (digging new beds take work!), soaking up some sun for the vitamin D and the enjoyment of the beauty of it all when it's all done... oh, and the fun of planning what to do next!

And don't forget something to always look forward to! New plants to bloom, seedlinds to watch grow up.... For me, that is one of the great addictions!

well... Devil's advocate: 3 years and no aguments!!!?? it's that healhthy? I think in every couple, an argument from time to time is the healthiest thing that can happen... it helps to solve tension, and to flat some differences (which are always present) the trick is not to let the arguments be corrosive, and solve them within one day or two...
