Sandy, I truly hope you don't regret sharing with your friends here. We have orchids in common but we're also human beings that care about each other.

Your grief over Bunny is natural. She was your friend and soul kitty. She has passed but your love for her has not.

I've never bought a kitten or cat and even when the time came that I longed for another, I didn't seek one.

All of my life my cats and kittens have found me. Homeless, hungry and unloved. I've taken them in and have been rewarded a ba-zillion times over.

Every kitten and cat and all animals need love and a home. Doesn't matter whether they come from a breeder or off the street.

If your new baby is in this new litter, you'll know it! If it's not, there's one out there somewhere just waiting for you.

It won't take Bunny's place, it will find it's own place in your heart.

I hope this new year will be gentle and kind to you and yours.

Thanks for sharing your story. I hope you find peace in the near future and the pain of your loss heals. I have found that nothing helps quite like the passing of time, and for some its more and for some, its less, but I believe you will know when its time for another beautiful cat to share your life. Best wishes for 2009 and beyond.

Thank you DebsC and OrchidLover.

And to all of those who have suffered losses and whose hearts have been broken in 2008 and those who have been fortunate to have not had to go through this, HAPPY, HOPEFULLY, JOYOUS New Year ahead.

I'm attaching one of my favorite little videos that I've posted here on the forum already (but worth it again in case anyone missed it) that my dear friend, Mike (mayres) sent to me a long time ago.

HAPPY, BLESSED NEW YEAR!!!!!!
