Sue, I agree whole heartedly. It is so true that there's really not another forum that is given the opportunity to get off subject and indulge in a little silliness or to purge a little sadness. I for one, felt very comforted by being able to pay tribute to my loss and just to say how rotten it felt. And I was doubly comforted by the members who posted back.

Everyone here is so interesting to me, all different personalities that come through so clearly that I sometimes forget that I've never seen anyone here, face to face. I still have a sense and a positive one towards everyone, here. It's a great mix!

You and Marty are truly outstanding at keeping this a nice place to hang out, really! I know the difference and you know I do.

Ugh! We got 6 inches on Wednesday, more snow falling tonight, and another severe snowstorm coming on Sunday! Ugh! Let the fun begin!

Well, I'm pretty new in these parts. But, I have felt welcomed from day one by the members here and I really appreciate the sense of community. It was pretty clear right off the bat that there are some pretty strong bonds between members here, and that played a role in my decision to call this orchid home on the web.

Although my neighbors have failed to turn off their sprinklers (which come on in the wee dark morning hours) and the whole sidewalk was turned into and ice skating rink when we got a somewhat rare hard freeze.

This place has an amazing member base! Sometimes we bicker, but most of the time we watch out for each other. There's a lot of forums out there on various topics, but it's truly rare to have a community in a true sense of the word. There seems to be a streak of genuine care on OB for other members, which is very unique to this place.

This is a great forum. I've been around the block, forums wise, and have pretty much divorsed all the other forums I belonged to. I don't ever seem to make it here all the time, but I do visit almost every day a few times daily. Point is, this is the only forum where I pretty much like everyone enough to keep me coming back, either for fun or for some sense of duty. Congrats to Orchid Board!!! I remember when this place was desolate, so happy to see it as it is now, and that it has not gotten out of control.
