Thanks for the chance to view such wonderful pics.I'v always been interested in old photos off our past.As a matter of fact I'm having a exhibition of pictures of New Plymouth starting next Wedsday,it's a great hobby and always popular at xmas time as I also sell them.Here a couple of my hometown in the 1860s. oops only onr pic, I didn't resize them.

Oh Susanne those photo's bring back some good ole memories. Especially The Automat (Horn & Hardart) my grandad worked there and would take me there for lunch sometimes. I loved the little doors with sandwiches and pie and goodies behind them it was such a treat. I lived on the lower East side 99th and Madison Ave. near the Gugginheim. I would roller skate all over Central Park alone I was only 6 or 7 at the time. I would also take the bus to ice skate at Central Park. Easter Sunday walking down Central Park 5th Ave. Those were the days.

I was supposed to call my girlfriend when I got home tonight and thought I'd do a quick scan of the latest on the board. I found this thread and it's now almost an hour later. These pics were fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed them Sue. Thanks so much for posting this. I got lost in all of this.

P.S. I think I recognized my great grandfather on Hester St. in one of the pics!
