Default Fish People...Need ER Advice!!!!

My Pictus cat was caught in his cave and kept there by very large upside down cat. He scraped his sides very badly and is now white where the silver was. Also, I think he may have broken his dorsal fin but I'm not sure about that.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

hopefully your water is well balanced and he wont get an infection...he should heal up nicely if so....as long as he is swimming right side up. keep the water oxygenated good. good luck!

Hi Deb,

Catfish are known to do these types of things and yes they pay somewhat of a price for it. I wouldn't worry to much about your cat. Its important to keep the water very clean so infection doesn't take hold.

If you find in a few days is does worsen you can use some EM tablets, you should be able to find this in your local petshop.

Try not to worry to much, these things do tend to heal up by themselfs. Keep the water very clean for the next week.
Feel free to post back if you have any questions ....

I transfered Mr Pic into a clean 30 gal. "hospital" tank by himself. Hopefully, this pure-er water will at least give him a chance to recover.

Thanks so much for responding to my plea for help.

Mr Pic died last night. I'll sure miss him and his beauty in my tank.

Thanks a bunch for your help, I appreciate it that you cared enough to respond.
