Wow. That is very different.
Before I go on. The flower on my A. frazeri closed up tightly before the spadix began to die. For a while I thought there would be seed. But now I doubt it.

Now, as for the A. hastifolia, again very different from mine. Could it be age, or culture, or is mine A. frazeri? I don't know. A hybrid perhaps as you mentioned. Thanks for the help. Let me have your thoughts on this.

I would be interested in knowing how you 2 grow your Anubias. I have had some in a 10 gallon terrarium with virtually no light and no water for 2 years and they are still healthy looking. The tank is totally enclosed so they never dry out and it stays damp.
Do you grow them submerged?

I do not grow mine submerged. All of mine are receiving at least 40 watts flourescent lighting. My supposed A. frazeri gets some partial morning sunshine in the early morning. Thats it. That one I grow in a clay substrate, emersed, in an open glass tank. The water is only 3 inches deep. I'll take a picture of the setup tomorrow, as I also have some Cryptocorynes and one large Collocasia esculenta.

Tindomul, my A. Frazeri is completely similar to yours. There can be you can learn in shop where it got, whence this plant deliver? It essentially would clear a situation.

A. hastifolia similar to yours I received from Singapore. It is other plant. That it, I do not undertake to tell. However, it is noteworthy that in Asia A. hastifolia in the nature do not grow. Here is its young leaf

harrywitmore, I grow up anubias both submersed and emerged. But not all species can grow in submersed conditions.

Thank you. I did not know that was a requirement for all species.
When fertilizing, you take pollen from the older inflorescence and introduce it to the younger inflorescence correct? Becuase the older inflorescence has let die its female flowers, while male flowers are producing pollen, and the younger inflorescence is not producing pollen, but has vital female flowers? Am I correct?
Unfortunately, I do not have any more pictures. Right after I took that flower, my camera memory chip malfunctioned. The picture I posted was a recovered image through special software, and I could only get a small version of my work.
However, the plant is once again in bud. Perhaps I will be able to give you a better picture in a few months. I took the first bud around 3 months to bloom!!!
