Wish I could help you, Doc, but whatever it is, it's absolutely beautiful! Great spots!

Let's see, what truck were you snagging plants off of at the time? Hmmm? Gorgeous whatever it is. The mysterious speckled lily. I love it. Sounds like a mystery novel.

I really have not a clue as to what it is, but it sure is pretty! I'd be interested in knowing the name since it's something I'd love to have in my garden.

I did some searching on Google. Does 'toad Lily' (Tricyrtis sp.) sound familiar to you?

Can't remember the name either but maybe this will help jog your memory. You most likely bought it at Wal-Mart, it was bare root in a plastic bag and a bit of peat moss with a hang header. I don't think it has a common name but it is in the lily family. The latin name starts with a "T".
I took pictures of mine last year but my old camera couldn't come close to doing it justice so I dumped them.

Mine did not make it through the winter so when I saw them this year I passed it by.

Doc - If you are showing your age, best you cover it up - it might catch a draft

I thought we had a past thread on Toad Lilies but I can't seem to find it .. rats!

I had seen these at my local nursery and was tempted to purchase it ..

Very nice Doc - where and how in your garden does it grow? Shady, full sun ??
