Default Can hardly believe it's been 7 years!

It was 7 years ago today that all of our lives changed...it was a terrible day and I am thinking of all the victims and their families today more than I usually do.

I was still in NY on that terrible day and I still remember vividly every horrific moment. We spent most of the day trying to find out if my husband's sister had made it to work yet, very scary! We were one of the luckier families...she had decided to stop for coffee on the way in and missed being in the building by just a few minutes. We have friends who weren't so lucky and they will forever be changed.

Let the people you love know it every day...
Never forget!

God Bless us all

I remember it clearly as well. I will never forget it I guess even if I wanted to. May we all live without fear of terrorism in this country and in the world for that matter.

I remember that day very vividly too. I was in the middle of math class when a teacher came in to tell us the bad news. Being in an international school, many of us were americans so the school was placed in lockdown and guarded by police as a safety measure, since no one knew what was going on. I worried for friends in connecticut (my best friend's neighbor died, leaving a wife and 5 young children.) And I was worried about another close friend's parents, who both work in the pentagon. They were lucky to be working at the other end of the building.
i hope nothing like that ever happens again.

This affected the entire world...not just America

The world as we knew it on 9/10/01 is a distant memory

So were we, on my end Susanne.

Tho I was beyond grateful, I hurt more for those who weren't as lucky. I was overshadowed and overcome with grief as we all were then.

I know...it was a strange feeling...being so grateful that my family was okay and yet feeling so deeply sad for the families that were directly stricken. I still can't watch anything on TV regarding the subject, I get physically ill seeing those images.

As a way of trying to pull me out of my funk...we got Samantha about 2 weeks after it happened

and this is Sammi yesterday with Lucas...who hubby got for me after my Mom passed away this February.

Let us never forget.

The skies here are ashy gray reminding me of the mood our country is in today... remembering the lives lost and the lives changed forever.

I remember it vividly too. I was watching tv with my 2 year old when the program was interrupted and the images came on. At first I thought that it must have been a nasty tv prank. When I finally noticed that it was real I just fell to my knees and started crying. I knew that there were people in there and I just lost it. (I know I'm too sensitive) I literally cried for their families for days.

I as well remember this day 7 yrs back, my husband calling me at work to hurry and turn the TV on his explanation made it sound like a hoax, but nothing of its kind, unfortunately. Even as we stroll our minutes, hours, days we will walk upon someone with a heart filled story of this day 7 years ago. Our thoughts, blessing, hearts go out to them all.
