That's right Susanne, we can prepare for all of them I belive. If just the power companies could get with the program it really wouldn't be so bad. I honestly don't mind them at all except as I've said before...I need air conditioning in order to sleep at night. I don't know how people managed before that.

The air conditioning is a problem, but by far the worst thing for me (after Hur Charlie) was the lack of a fridge! I was using a cooler and finding ice was a real problem. You have never seen such long lines for even the rides at disney as there were just for ice or water after charlie hit. No matter how prepared you are, there are some things you just can't prepare for....
I am glad Gustav went fast over Louisiana. We can only hope that Hanna, Ike and Josephine don't want to make landfall too bad! I wouldn't wish them on anyone! Either way, everybody get ready to hunker down (that is what all the news stations and radio stations say and I find it hilarious!)!

Go away, Ike!
I did read that Josephine seems to be breaking down...good news, right?
I always feel somewhat guilty hoping so badly that it goes somewhere else...it just means somebody else is going to get it
I'm sending all my good thoughts out to those in the path of Hanna...and praying that Ike DIES!!!!!

Why can't we come up with a huge fanlike blower that would either alter its course or kill it altogether. I know, I've watched too many J.B. 007 movies.

What if all the south Florida orchid growers with huge fans in their greenhouses point them all in the same direction at once?

According to this mornings weather report, Hanna was traveling along just off Central Florida's east coast (Melbourne). It apparently dumped some rain here during the night. We were receiving a moderate amount of rain and few little gusts of wind earlier this morning. No rain at this time 11:20 a.m. but completely overcast and gloomy. Speaking for the Melbourne area...This storm wasn't bad. I'm relieved. Now, What's up with Ike???
