Thanks Sue, I just had to reinstall windows because of a virus. My problem was a I had a pop up that was for a dating service.(I'm married over 24 years, not something I need) I tried many times to close it by clicking on the red X in upper right corner but it kept coming back. THEN I clicked the cancel prompt. and all hell broke lose. Not sure why my pop up blocker didn't catch it.
