Thumbs up First Time Cactus Blooming

Hi there, I do have a couple of plants that are not orchids but cactus. This cactus was given to me two years ago and it was blooming at the time. Since then nothing as I kept it inside the house. This spring I put her out and Euerka! 3 buds. Tonight we had a thunder and lightning storm and I brought her under the covered front porch and her buds where closed. Within a few hours they have opened. I am so proud and they are so pretty a soft pale pink with white inside.

Sheridan, you certainly live in the perfect area of the US to grow these guys. When in KF I had maybe 100+ genera of cacti and we had a club of growers. Great job of blooming.

Cool

Thanks Ross and Bonsai, I don't have a clue what kind of cactus this is. I have several babies if you would like one let me know. We had so much wind last night I brought her in and she is in full bloom.

I'm not kidding if you want a baby let me know I can wrap it up and mail to you.

I'd be willing to give one a try. I've forgotten a lot about species and genera of cacti over the last 30+ years, but I still have a nack with the ones that are left.

Cactus blooms look so much like orchids. I love the way they look. This one is gorgeous Sheridan.

Thumbs up

Ross and Bonsai I have no idea about the shipping cost but that's not a problem for me. E-mail me your addresses and I will get them on their way.
