And my wife and I just got 4th place in a National skydiving competition last week.

sweet... How was the competition judged? Who falls the quickest ? I know nothing about skydiving..it's on my to do list thought in my next life, hehe

scored very much like gymnastics used to be, on a 10 point scale. both members of the team are graded, the performer on the maneuvers she performs and the cameraman on how well he films them.
here's a picture. I'm the upside down one. the graininess is because this was captured from a video.

That looks SO cool! Had an opportunity to try it once a very long time ago...but backed out of the trip there at the last minute!
Just couldn't bring myself to do it

I know that is fun!! I was brave enough to do a tandem!! I don't think I calmed down that whole night, it was a great rush. I did mine over in DeLand, FL. I remember my instructor telling me if you chicken out you had to fly down with the plane and he came down like at 45 degrees and he usually beat the jumpers down! I jumped especially seeing the pilot...LOL

That is so cool. I'm not sure if i could actually jump or not but it might be fun to try. My Mom did it years ago and had fun. She had one of those big old round parachutes....a long time ago right? (or do they still use those?)
