Default Tropical Storm Fay

I'm hoping all of our friends here in Florida stay updated about this storm. Looks like it will cover the state, it's heading for the west coast, for sure (lucky me! )

Last I heard, it's too soon to know but the winds could reach 70mph...which means it won't be a hurricane but there will still be lots of preparation for those of us who grow outside.

I plan on updating this thread as I hear details...
please feel free to post any information you hear of concerning this storm.

This time of year is never any fun to watch the tropics and the activity goin' on. I am keeping my fingers cross that this tropical storm Fay stays out in the gulf and stirs the waters only and fizzles. J just a thought ... U-haul might be your best friend for a day or two if housing real estate is at a minimum.

I guess I better check the weather report tonight! I haven't been paying attention. I sure do dread bringing in the orchids this year! My collection has grown (of course). I need to put in some kind of permanent hanging equipment in my garage that can support the weight of all of them plus allow for watering in case they have to stay in for a few days. Plus they need to be up and out of the way so I can get the cars, grill and other such stuff in there.

We're not supposed to see any effects until Tuesday. They're waiting to see what it going over the mountains does to it. The predicted path covers the entire state, not just one coast or the other.

No need to panic...but I believe it's best to be well aware of the weather here in Florida. It's always extreme!

Just pay attention to the news over the next few days and be prepared to move some stuff to a safe area if necessary.

Keep in mind...

I'd pay very close attention to what's happening by Monday.

Please be careful if and when you go
