Just got back from batting down the hatches at dad's on the east coast. Might be a bit premature but when you loose everything from the 2004 hurricanes, can't take any chances; boats in the canal, boarded the windows, putting up debris bullets, lock the doors and wait it out. The feeder bands will make it later this evening with tropical storm winds and rain.

Looks like it will slice between Sue and I, flooding and heavy winds. Just a big job for those outside growers but your right Sue a great opportunity to freshen the orchid house.

Stay safe all in the path of the little lady.

btw Marty...Bring it on to the beaches and a visit to Disney should be a great time, weather will be coorporative 30% chance of rain, no brainer~it's a safety for the meterologist but a bit muggy with the previous days rain but other than that, enjoy our paradise.

Just saw Hog's Breath Saloon (Key West) closed. That's it folks! Now we're serious.

Wake up Dad. It's headed your way!

Well, it looks like I may dodge a bullet here! The news is saying the Tampa Bay area may still get a lot of rain and winds but the winds should be less than earlier expected

Still paying close attention but I am very happy...and tired!

Still concerned for my friends south of me...what's it looking like for you guys?

Its raining on and off here ( miami ) yup if you watch the news long enough they will wear you out. Probably raining harder on the west coast. I love that web site Susanne, the underground weather.

I depend on that site in winter...it gives very specific hourly temp projections for your zip code.

It's a keeper

Unhappy PICS of my LOCKDOWN DONE!!

I just got done clearing out my Chid Hotel for Faye!
What a job!! I had to pound in over 50 nails to hang up ALL my mounts!! And more for my Vanda's. And bring in all the clay pots I had hanging out there too!

Here's my Chid Hotel Before;

My Chid Hotel After;

My GH Before; Not a great pic of the whole thing, but pretty empty besides more seedlings like these.

My GH After loading her up;

I CAN'T WAIT TILL FAYE PASSES, So my Chids can get back in there Hotel!! And I can Walk in my GH again!

Notice the extra piece of lattice to the right?
I sa-weeet talked my hubby into putting another ADDITION on this weekend!!
He figured he better, just to keep me happy
He'll never here those words again!!
Until I buy more and more chids, and run outta room, AGAIN!! Then it's time for my beggin' again!! Puh-weeeeeze build me another Suga!!! Every day....Till he does it

Anyways, I hope you ALL weather Faye well!!!! As well as your Chids!!!

Things look good around here this morning. Still raining on and off. A few leaves on the ground. My pool has a LOT of rain water. Nice and breezy outside. Too bad I gotta go to work. How are things up north?
Jkelee..nice..a little overbooked in that hotel, motel, holiday inn?
