LOL the avocados will be more than dropping, they can become missels like coconuts. Yes they are unpredictable but a tropical storm? All Im praying is that when we lose power it wont be for very long, cause I HATE not having A/C.

There are certain things that happen that you get no prior warning for and have no chance to make preparations...this storm is not one of them
I'd rather be safe than sorry. If it turns out to be less than originally thought I'll use the opportunity to give the orchid room a good cleanup. I just moved over 300 from the room to the lanai because the windows in the room are only rated for 75mph.
The operation to put them all back will be even bigger because I'll be inspecting each one and attaching a tag directly to each plant. It took two days to do this part and will take a week to get it put back together!

Through all of this, I keep reminding myself that I'll be on a cruise in less than five weeks
I'm glad I'll have the chance to do a really intense inspection and clean up on the chids and with the room empty, I'll sanitize in there too. I will definitely enjoy it, I go into my own little world when I'm doing that stuff

Nope! Just for you, Marty, Disney has created a "What is it like to be in a hurricane?" Display. It's mobile and being previewed in many hotels around the Orlando/Daytona Beach area! I owed you that one, buddy!
