Some August Garden Pics
These are some shots of the yard I take care of for a friend that is out of town a lot. First, our hibiscus that is just starting to shine, and a closeup of a huge blossom. A tiny wild thing that just shows up now and then, some cosmos and marygolds, a snow-on-the-mountain that grows wherever it pleases, and a frog doing what a frog is supposed to do.

I like the frog too. How big is your pond? We have one across the street, and at night there's a choir of frogs hard at work. Nice to go out and listen to them--even if it's kind of insulting to have them croak in alarm whenever I get near the water. :-)

This pond is about 8 feet across, and two feet deep. I think those frogs may just be saying 'hello'.

Those Hibiscus are like dinner plates! We have one that gets pretty big, it's called Moy Grande (Named by Dr. Moy).

Jim, I was just going to suggest the same thing. Maybe post a few more pics of the pond?

Nice perennial hardy hibiscus you have ..
Don't yours reseed and bloom back in the spring? I have hybrid tropical hibiscus that I have to bring indoors before the frost - my thread found here - http://www.orchidboard.com/community...us-anyone.html
Here is the Pond thread the gentlemen are referring to - Ponds

Pretty flowers, Kim. I love the hibiscus, gorgeous large blooms Mine should be opening in the next couple of days.
D, You don't need to reseed them to see them again next year. They go dormant and reappear the next spring.
