Default Olympics

Because we have an international audience, I thought it woul be fun to see whom (if anyone) cares about the outcome of the olympics. For instance, USA is doing dismal in 4 person light-weight rowing against other teams. But in Basketball, they seem to be doing well. Anyone want to discuss? And swimming seems to be USA, or Australia dominated, but other sports are dominated by Norway, or Sweden, etc.

Good for them, but are all the venues going for gold right now? Aren't several just going for position? Like the rowing? Playoffs for position?

Yeah...I am really enjoying the Olympics coverage! Well, with a very very slight bias towards the U.S., I don't care so much about who wins what. I just enjoy the spirit and theater of it all.

Did anyone see the men's swimming relay last night .. how exciting that the USA won gold!
What a race! The French were leading and BAM the US comes from behind and nabs it .. the French comments about winning were a bit premature (and might have jinx them) .. because in the end, it's who swims the fastest that gets the gold.
