We're going to be in Lake City, FL at the National Caving Convention. (I'm not a caver--that's my hubby's thing). I'm sure there must be something orchid-y in the area--Does anyone out there know of any nurseries?
Has your husband told you about Cave Orchids? I think they are usually gypsum formations, but they sure look like beautiful crystal flowers. Check this site for a good example.
Jim-I did hear about "cave orchids" more commonly known as gypsum flowers. I think gypsum is a softer mineral that gets squeezed out between two harder rocks-kind of like toothpaste. I've seen pics-they're awsome.
