I love cacti and most succulents. What surprised me when I moved to Fla., was how well they grow here. I never imagined that but the soil here is very sandy which is probably why. Do you happen to grow, Epiphyllum too?

I do see bats around in the evenings, but have never seen them at the Agave. They may visit, I just never see them there. They do especially like the larger white blooms like Saguaro and Cereus blooms that are up off the ground a way.

I'm afraid I don't They are beautiful, but too cold-sensitive for me to deal with. It gets down below freezing here in Tucson every winter for at least several days, sometimes more, and I have been down in the teens fairly often.

A few people i know here grow them, but I already have too many things that need to be protected in the winter, so now I just do outdoor plants that can take care of themselves.
