What a great job, Ross. It's beautiful. I have slowly been shifting over in to native plants. They are certainly easier to maintain. After seeing what you have done, I need to step up my efforts.

Geez, you guy's are killing me. Work, Orchids, veggi garden in the fall, regular yard work, keeping up with the house, hiking, stargazing, terrariums, project plants, and now it looks like I'm going to have to make my yard a Federal wild life refuge. Keeping up with the Ross's is hard work.
Really nice Ross, how many hour a day to you spend in the yard?

Really! Less than you do hiking the strand. It pretty much takes care of itself.

Default Beautiful Job

Ross,

That's just GREAT! I too am a big fan of the naturalized yard. I've been anti-grass for a long time now.

I've done this in Chicago and suburbs, and in Beverly Shores, Indiana (along Lake Michigan, very near the Michigan border). I recognize most of your plants, and I've used and enjoyed them in the past.

Once it's "going" there is less maintenance, less water use, etc.

Hope you check my post on my Arizona yard, and I hope you approve. Keep up the good work, both yard and orchids, and thanks for sharing.

Ed
