hhhmmm... Cereus is actually a columnar cactus... if you see the "leaves" in the picture, it looks more like Epiphyllm.... could be a especies but also one of the many many hybrids...
in any case, a beautiful one

I totally agree with Ramon, and they occur in nature in Ding Darling Refuge on Sannibel.

just a last comment here
there are some hybrids that bloom during the day (all they long!) and are very prolific with blooming. Don't know the names, but are quite common in south Germany in small villages (these plants are very very out of fashion here and you mainly see them at collectors or in those pictoresque villages) They normally spent the winter outside too and survive it without much probles (but keep in mind I am talking about a region where you normally don't get very cold winter, and hardly have snow that stay longer than one or two days on the ground: Palatinate in Germany, Alsace in France, and Basel region in Switzerland are all together and part of a region which is supposed to be on of the warmest in this part of europe - of course Occitane, Provence, Spain and all in the south can be warmer )

Thanks for the info, I always thought this was a Cereus. I have the same plant it seems. I'll post my old pics since Dave was trying to look them up.
