Default frogs!!!
last night when i went outside to check my pond these guys were all over it! a few of them had their throats puffed out and they were so cute!

Maybe ping pong balls.. Or, possibly it is an air sac that is filled through a small opening in the mouth. When the air is expelled, the frog makes it's typical noise that is a love call to a female. I bet your yard was a noisy place with all this "pool party" going on.

it is really noisy. but i like the frogs because they eat the annoying bugs.
