Default Encyclia Tampensis and the tired Snake

Just wanted to share some pics from the Fakahachee trip yesterday. Forget the bugs and animals the big killer was the incredible heat this snake I picked up for a quick picture and released him. He didn't feel very lively, I think he was very thirsty.I hope he makes it but I doubt it. After almost giving up myself from heat exhaustion I came up on these beautiful blooming butterflies.
When I got back home I heard it rained in Miami all day. I've never prayed for rain so much while I was out there. I think I really cooked some brain cells. Anyway for those of you who like the outdoors...enjoy

Dumb question : Snakes don't drink water from the swamp? Or was the swamp dry also?

Great photos!
