I live in the southern most city in Africa Port Elizabeth It is part of the Nelson Mandela Metropole. There are some really special plants in the area ,and it sometimes drives crazy to see them being bulldozed over to make way for yet another shopping centre or housing development
I have just spent a week taking pics of our winter veld flowers, just in case we never see them again !! When I get a chance I will post some of the best pics so that you can take a walk with me through the veld.

Looking forward to it. Interesting plants. Kind of neat to see some of the same things growing on a different continent. We grow geraniums and gazanias here too, but they don't look as cool as those!

Susanne, it is called Citanthus Obliquus it is a succulent the leaves look similar to an Aloe ,it was grown from seed
