is night blooming cereus an epiphyllum? i know that this sounds like a stupid question but i have been wanting to know for a while.

I think it depends on what has been sold as "night blooming Cereus" and " Epiphylum". They are actually two completelly different cactus genus!
one is epiphytic:

That it is Cullenperry. They literally bloom during the night. Has yours bloomed yet?? I have one , started with one leaf, now quite large, but no blooms yet

it has the flat leaves so it is an epiphyllum. thanks for the help!
