Default OK, Some of my 'Outdoorsie Stuff'

Here is some stuff blooming for me right now. My first love is gardening as well. It's kind of gotten a lot of neglect as the orchid collection grows.

This one won't attach:

Lovely lilies, Royal
I love the green creepy-crawlie on the daisy
What are photos 5 & 6 in your first post? Some kind of Yucca?
Are the red blooms in the 7th shot Alum?
Is the 8th photo Lantana?
What are the last 2 photos of your 2nd post?

Can you tell I have a 'thing' for lilies?

Post 1 #5 and #6 is a Eucomis or Pineapple Lily. You can kind of see why. It does look yucca-ish in the photo, but you'd be able to tell it's a lily in person.

Red blooms in #7 are Mondarda or Bee Balm. Hummingbirds LOVE it. Tubular flowers, mint family, also called Oswego tea, as the Oswego Indians valued it for medicinal and culinary use.

2nd post is all rain lillies. The white is a Guatemala native, Zephyranthes labuffarosea. The yellow one is Z. primulina. The pink ones not yet opened are Habranthus robustus. I'll get a shot tonight or tomorrow of them opened. Should be quite a show. I have 4 or 5 more Zeph species as well. I'll post those as they do their thing.

Very nice--I especially like your Pineapple Lily. I've thought about growing them. What is your culture? I'm in steamy hot SW Florida.

I'm in steamy hot East Texas. Zone 8b. They're native to Africa I think. They freeze back over winter and deal with our heat. Pretty easy.
