Agile Guest

I spotted this 3' black snake inspecting my Cattleya yesterday. This second photo showcases his agile departure from the photo session. Sorry for the small size. For some reason the photo remained too large to upload and it's too large for an individual upload. You may need a magnifying glass. If you look closely you can see the snake stretching out in mid air from the Cattleya towards the palm tree. He was holding on to the Catt. with about 6" of his tail. Pretty amazing site to behold.

I had a black snake on my orchids like that a few weeks ago too. Didn't have my camera though. I think he was looking for lizards to eat.
