Storms, wind, rain, thunder, lightining, more rain, more rain.......

I was not aware that I had lakeside property until yesterday. There is a huge sandtrap on the golf course in front of my home which is now a lake. More storms are expected for tonight. Enough is enough.

I have an emergency generator. I plan to have it wired into the house in next couple weeks. Right now we run extension cords. You know, the orchidarium is more important than the PC right now

I know you guys don't want it, but man, my garden needs it bad. We are way below average for rainfall here. Hot, Humid, and not a drop of rain anywhere for the last few weeks. The grass here is already brown, looks and feels like August.

It's been non stop heat here in the NorthEast - I'm just east of NYC and it's been torrid!
Where is the relief?!
We could use some nice cooool rain!

4 days in a row with severe weather in West Michigan for only the 2nd time since 1970 according to our local weather people.
EF-1 tornado confirmed a couple of counties north of where Ross is with winds of 110mph. Also a 20-mile swath of straightline wind damage in the same area.
Another EF-1 tornado a couple of counties SE of us.
Grand Rapids area had wind damage. Trees down. Flooding from heavy rains. Several storm related deaths in the area. A road washed out west of Grand Rapids that dropped a car 50 feet into a ravine, killing both occupants of the car. Power is still out in several areas around Grand Rapids. We have a generator that can power our whole house, but didn't need it as our power stayed on. Only some light tree debris at our place.
Pleasant today, sunny, mid 70's, light breeze. Heat & humidity back tomorrow & Tuesday, mid to high 80's. Storms expected back again Friday. Oh joy..
