Identification of cactus?
These two plants were just little 6 inch cuttings about a year ago...man, have they gotten happy, happy!
Can any of you come up with a name for either of them?
The first one has very fine points along the edges, the second one we call the "rick-rack" plant and I don't see any pointy stuff on it...yet
They both have roots growing at various points along the "canes" (don't know what to call them )

Cryptocereus anthonyanus, Selenicereus anthonyanus (Rick-Rack cactus, Zig-Zag cactus or Fishbone Orchid cactus)
www.TopTropicals.com - rare plants for home and garden
I don't know what the other one is but it resembles a Mistletoe Cactus ( Rhipsalis trigona) except that these don't have any spines along the edge....hmmm

The first is an Epiphylum (like Night Bloomin Cereus or one of those). Don't know the second one.

hi i agree its an Epiphyllum. When it flowers it will be possible to identify it more precisely. My avatar is Epiphyllum ackermanii and it blooms now in the UK.
Happy growing and be warned it gets huge. Mine was a branchlet taken from a plant that had a six foot diameter spread!
Regards

I finally gave mine away 'cause it was so large. They grow in trees on Sannibel Island (Ding Darling) and get to the tops of trees.

Susanne, I'm afraid that I can't identify your plants. But there's a pretty cool cacti forum that has a lot of knowledgeable and friendly people on it who could probably help you out, if you're interested:
CactiGuide.com // Index
Good luck!

Sue, I don't know, but the first one looks like my starfish flower, the one that stinks. The second one looks like it belongs in the night blooming cereus family.
