The leaves are all wrong Tindo. The Stapelia (your plant) has leaves that look like this

No. 1 looks like a Hylocereus to me, No. 2 is Cryptocereus anthonyanus.

Hi I forgot to say when the Epiphillum does flower, if its like mine the flowers drip nectar on to whatever is underneath them. Put a plate below to catch it, it tastes lovely! (Don't eat if you use nasty chemicals)

New discovery today!

I found 5 of these nubs today...are they new branches or the start of blooms? I know NOTHING!!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings but these are the start of new growth.

Flower buds will form on the axils where the spines come from along the side of branches. When in flower the veins in the plant are really prominent as they deliver nutrients to the buds, showing red through the green when viewed with light behind them. Keep watering throughout the summer with an occasional feed (I use tomato food) and then keep cool and drier over the winter. It should flower next spring.

It's not necessarily bad tidings...I just never really paid much attention to what the new growths looked like when they were starting out.
