A Sad Day for Mr. Snake

Something caught my eye this morning while I was watering some plants. It was colorful and somewhat coiled and lying very still under an outdoor plant table in my pocket garden. Of course I had to get a closer look and quickly fetched my camera for any possible photo moments. After closer examination I was saddened to see the remains of a non-poisonous corn or red rat snake. His head and front end were missing (probably a victim of a neighbor's cat) so I'm not sure if this is the same fella I saw climbing my back yard palm tree several months ago. "Bad, Bad Kitty"!
