The tree blooms in early summer. Here they are widely planted in streets, parks and river banks. The flowers have a pleasant fragrance, which can be smelled when walking under the trees.
Spectacular show! The sort of tree that is beautiful on somebody else's property and not where you have to park your car. Where I live, Jacaranda has a similar role - beautiful clouds of purple that are exhilarating but very messy and rough on automobile paint jobs. In a park like these, fantastic.
