Looks a tiny bit like a huntsman. I've heard you guys get them in Florida, too.

Welcome to my world, if it is. EVERY. #@(*ING. SUMMER.

I think it's a wolf spider that fell in the water or some type of a fishing spider. Huntsman is much larger, saw one in the outback in a shower. It was fun

I can't tell you how poorly I would have taken finding one of these in the shower. And I think these are interesting and even beautiful but I just can't get totally past, my phobic past! My little moneky brain screams in panic and there is so little one can do, rationally, at that point!

Sue, that is one hell of a good morning! But at least you found it outside. . .somehow that makes it easier to take, I think.

Maybe you need to go buy yourself a new orchid, take a buddy with you. . .for support. You've had a very hard morning.

Maybe it likes to eat orchid pests?

I think Marty's right. We always called them wolf spiders growing up. The are often found in and around water. She's just taking care of the other bugs for you.

Thanks everybody

Hubby found it and just HAD to put it in a bowl to save for me to get a look

She is now taking care of bugs in the next yard over

I thought it looked like a Hobo spider from the pictures I found but the page didn't say they're found in Florida so I'll take your suggestions.

Thanks...and once again, EWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!
