brining, pickling and ferments- awesome product
I love all these things and i know many of you do too so i had to share this. these are called masontops and they let you use any mason jar as a burp-able fermentation chamber.
i just finished this batch of pickled red onions and i wanted to share so everyone could also make delicious pickles and ferments

Lol I reviewed two competing self-burping products on Amazon. They work great. So far I've pickled carrot, parsnip, kohlrabi, daikon radish and bell peppers. I also bought and use a traditional Chinese pickle fermenting jar with water lock lid. If you get one pay attention to the size and look through many pages of results. Prices are all over the place for them.

I have a fermentation kit and played around with it for awhile. Fermented garlic is delllllllicious. Definitely make some if you’re a garlic fan, but do NOT get the brine ratio wrong! Dumping my second attempt at fermenting garlic is one of the grossest experiences of my life.

Thank you. Just started pickling mustard greens couple years ago. I'm also interested in making my own kefir too. Does anyone here make their own kefir? I understand the traditional way is with grains, but I'm also reading how it can be done just mixing store-bought kefir with milk and am wondering if this is really just as good and easier than straining the traditional way. Thanks!

I make (milk) kefir. You want to obtain or purchase a teaspoon or two of grains. Store bought kefir only contains a few isolated strains of bacteria, the actual kefir grains are a symbiotic combination of thousands of bacteria and yeast.
If you message me an address I’ll send you some milk kefir grains.

what particular pickling solutions do you use?
I've always wanted to give garlic a try.

Thank you Dalachin! I ordered some already!
I've only used salt to pickle. Would like to try garlic sometime too!
