RES Turtle - free to a good home
Default RES Turtle - free to a good home

Long story short, we accepted a RES turtle from a coworker that found her in a bush. She was going to be a classroom pet for my husband’s high school science classroom, but in the month we’ve had her, we’ve decided it’s best if he leaves the profession. Nobody else at the school is equipped to take her.

We’re looking to rehome her with someone local. The turtle, and all associated supplies, are free. Our tank is on loan, so you’d have to supply your own.

She’s about 5-6”, so 44 gallon is the smallest recommended tank size. Larger, or an outdoor stock tank would be great too.

She’s feisty, adorable, always looks a little grumpy, but she’s very interested in people. I’d guess she was a dumped pet. She begs for food and follows us around her tank. It’s pretty cute.

Anyone have a backyard pond that needs an aquatic golden retriever?

If we were anywhere near close by, I'd take her in a heartbeat! Loves my RESs!

She’s really cute! We’re bummed we can’t keep her.
